BISHOP LAUNCHES ATTORNEY COALITION

Today, Mike Bishop for Attorney General announced the leadership of the campaign's Attorney Coalition. This announcement follows the announcement of the Women, Youth and Grassroots coalitions.

Jim Saalfeld, of Grand Rapids, Dave Sebastian, of Birmingham and Jeff Matis, of Rochester Hills will serve as Statewide Co-Chairs.

"I am so pleased that these gentlemen have agreed to serve in a leadership position within my campaign," said Senator Bishop about the announcement. "Jim, Dave and Jeff are working hard to ensure that the Attorneys for Bishop Coalitions' membership represents every law firm in Michigan. I am grateful for their support and friendship."

"Mike Bishop has the most experience as a practicing attorney. He was a lawyer and a local prosecutor and he has represented individuals and businesses," said Grand Rapids based attorney, Jim Saalfeld. "I believe that he has the experience it takes to be the Attorney General from day one."

"As Attorney General, I know that Mike will protect the citizens of Michigan," explained Dave Sebastian. "It is critical that a republican is elected as our next attorney general and I believe that Mike is our only answer for the general election."

Bishop announced his campaign for Attorney General in 2009, and continues to gain momentum and support across Michigan, as he meets with grassroots activists in all of Michigan's 83 counties.

As Senate Majority Leader, he led his caucus to stand firm against tax increases during the 2009 budget negotiations. As a State Senator, Mike has introduced legislation to ban partial birth abortion and strengthen the penalties against identity theft perpetrators.
