GRASSROOTS ACTIVISTS FOR BISHOP

Today, Mike Bishop for Attorney General announced the leadership of the campaign's Grassroots Coalition. This announcement follows the announcement of the Women and Youth coalitions.

State Representative Bob Genetski and former 12th District GOP Chair Dennis Buchholtz will serve as co-chairs, with Dan Tollis, Andrew Emmitt, Matt Golden, Jim Duistermars and Susan & Bob Chmielewski serving as Regional Chairs.

"I am honored to have such a strong grassroots movement behind my campaign," said Senator Bishop about the announcement. "This is a team that knows how to win elections, both at a Convention and in November. I am pleased they are leaders in our organization!"

In addition to Statewide Co-Chairs Bob Genetski and Dennis Buchholtz, Regional Chairs include:

Oakland County: Jim Duistermars, 9th District State Committee
Macomb County: Dan Tollis, 12th District State Committee
Wayne County: Susan and Bob Chmielewski, 15th District GOP State Committee/Activists
West Michigan: Andrew Emmitt, 3rd District State Committee
Northern Michigan: Matt Golden, Isabella County GOP Chair

"Mike Bishop is the only candidate that has been a leader on statewide level and he has a long track record of standing up for what is right," said Dan Tollis. "I am confident he will make an excellent Attorney General, and believe that he is the strongest candidate the GOP can put up against any Democrat in the race."

Bishop announced his campaign for Attorney General in 2009, and continues to gain momentum and support across Michigan. Earlier this week, he announced both a Women and Youth Coalition.

As Senate Majority Leader, he led his caucus to stand firm against tax increases during the 2009 budget negotiations. As a State Senator, Mike has introduced legislation to ban partial birth abortion and strengthen the penalties against identity theft perpetrators.
