POLL: BISHOP BEATS BERNSTEIN
Internal polling released by the likely Democratic nominee for Attorney General shows another General Election victory for Mike Bishop. Information released today shows that in a hypothetical matchup, Bishop beats the son of multi-millionaire trial lawyer Sam Bernstein by two points, 33 to 31 percent.
The poll, conducted following what many have noted as an increased marketing campaign by Bernstein's family law firm is big news for Republicans, showing a path to victory to keep the Attorney General's office in the control of the Republicans. Many political insiders expect that the increased marketing will continue in the future to build the Bernstein name ID.
"This poll again shows how important it is to nominate a Republican who can win both at a Convention, but also in the General Election," Senator Bishop said regarding the poll results. "The fact that the internal polls from my probable opponent show trouble for his campaign in November is reassuring, but I continue run a campaign focused on winning both in August and November.
This is the third poll in a row showing Bishop as a clear winner in the November General Election. Past polls showed Bishop as the only GOP candidate who led potential Democratic opponents in a General Election head to head.

BISHOP WINS MUSKEGON GOP STRAW POLL
Senate Majority Leader Mike Bishop delivered a big win in the straw poll conducted Friday night by the Muskegon County GOP.
"I am thankful for the support of so many people in Muskegon County and all over West Michigan," Senator Bishop said of the results. "GOP activists are looking for a candidate for Attorney General who can deliver a win for the GOP in November, and we continue to build a team that is ready to help make that possible."
Senator Bishop remains the only candidate in the race for Attorney General who has taken a stand against the practice of attempting to "purchase straw polls."
"While we are pleased to support our local GOP organizations, we have continually done so through the purchase of tickets to events, direct contributions and purchasing of advertisements," Bishop said. "Straw polls deserve to be a reflection of the attitude of the grassroots activists, not a competition of which candidate will spend the most money"

LINCOLN DAY SEASON BEGINS
